Construction on the Target shopping center on 1400 N in Logan is moving along with the issuance of a building permit from Logan City, but there are no estimated completion dates for the Target or the other phases of the Cache Valley Marketplace project.

Currently composed of a Target, four multi-family residential buildings sporting approximately 346 units and a hotel with approximately 156 rooms, the project is moving along as expected, according to Logan City Senior Planner Russ Holley.

Per the "Cache Valley Marketplace" Development Plan submitted by Woodsonia to Logan City, the residential units will have access to "luxury amenities including (a) swimming pool, controlled access parking, clubhouse/community lounge with meeting spaces, state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor fire pits/seating areas (and a) pet-park."

Units are expected to range from one-bedroom, one-bathroom units between 570-610 square-feet to two-bedroom, two-bathroom units between 1,090-1,130 square feet.

As for the hotel space, it is currently expected to be accompanied by 21,000 square-feet of retail space on its bottom floor, with a Petco, a Bath & Body Works and an unnamed restaurant being listed in the development plan.

The Target is estimated to be 148,771 square-feet, which is among the highest square-footage for Target's upcoming stores across the United States of America

The development plan estimates the project to exceed $205 million.

Holley concluded by crediting Woodsonia and Target for their "responsiveness" throughout the process, saying he cannot speak for Logan City as a whole, but his experiences have been positive and void of surprises.
