Fox News Guest Directly Warns 'Viewers of This Network' Their Healthcare Costs Will Skyrocket Under GOP Plan

A Fox News guest warned Thursday that older Americans signed up under the Affordable Care Act will see their health insurance premiums skyrocket if the ACA tax credits don't go forward with the current continuing resolution bandied about in Congress.

Dan Kanninen (D), formerly with the Kamala Harris-Tim Waltz presidential campaign, sounded the alarm on Fox News's America Reports.

While discussing the state of New Jersey's gubernatorial race with John Roberts, Kanninen maintained that the cost of living is what really drives elections:

I think at the end of the day, when we look at the electorate from 2024 and to now, costs drove the story in the last election -- we lost. I was on a campaign that lost because voters did not believe we had costs front and center for them. Costs are again very important, and we saw [candidate Jack] Ciattarelli (R) talking about that.

This month, if the ACA tax credits do not go forward, which is what the shutdown is about, which I'm sure will loom large in New Jersey, viewers on this network who are 60 years old making $75,000 bucks a year will see $841 increases monthly to the health insurance premiums.

The tax credits are expected to expire at the end of 2025, which is why congressional Democrats are working on a funding deal to reopen the government if Republicans agree to extend the credit.

He continued, "There's one party in candidate Mikey Sherrill (D) fighting to make sure that doesn't happen, and another acquiescing to Donald Trump, who in return shuts down an structure project in their back yard further hurting New Jersey's economy. I think that entire self-owning of Trump trying to own the libs and by extension hurting Ciattarelli is going to play a big roll in this race."
