Jets Reveal Whether Mark Scheifele Will Play in Game 6

The Winnipeg Jets are looking to keep their second-round playoff series going against the Dallas Stars. Heading into Game 6, the Jets will need to win a road playoff game, something that they haven't done all postseason.

Before the game, there was some concern that star Mark Scheifele wouldn't play in the game due to his dad passing away. But Jets head coach Scott Arniel has provided an update on the matter, saying that the star center will indeed suit up.

Many were expecting the Jets to be without Scheifele, but it seems that the star wants to play. His teammates have been supporting him the best that they can since the news came out.

Jets captain Adam Lowry spoke on the matter.

"It's not an easy to thing to navigate, especially with the magnitude of the day in terms of our playoff lives," Lowry said. "But it's important that we're there for him in just whatever capacity he needs. I think he needs to know that everyone in that room is there to support him, there to be whatever he needs us to be.

"It's one of those things that you don't wish upon anyone and just really hope that he's got the family strength, the great support system around him, that helps ease this pain, because that's such a big loss."

The Jets will try to keep their season going strong on the road, and with Scheifele in the lineup, they have a better chance. If Winnipeg can grab the win, Game 7 would then be played back at home.
