The Minnesota Vikings are playing the New England Patriots at noon on Saturday. Kevin O'Connell's squad is hosting joint practices with Mike Vrabel's team, meaning we won't see the starters play during the game.
That doesn't mean there won't be intriguing players and storylines to keep track of, though. Here are three bold predictions for the Vikings as they get set for their second preseason game of the 2025 season.
Brosmer impressed in his preseason debut, completing 5/8 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. He's been composed throughout camp, giving him a shot at the QB3 spot.
On Saturday, he will further make his case to make the team's active roster. Look for Brosmer to throw two touchdowns in extended time against the Patriots.
The Vikings won't be playing Jordan Mason this week, and they know what they have (or don't have) in Ty Chandler. Scott ran seven times for 40 yards against the Texans, making a case to make the roster behind Aaron Jones and Mason.
Scott will take advantage of a strong backup offensive line and showcase his ability, eclipsing 100 yards.
I said McGlothern would do it last week, and although he didn't have an interception, the Vikings' defense picked off three passes. Look for McGlothern to remind everyone of his ball-hawking skills in camp and redeem himself against the Patriots.
McGlothern had a pick-six in Wednesday's practice against the Patriots. He'll have one on Saturday, too.
