Chang is searching for his first win against a power conference team as Hawaii looks to build off a 5-7 campaign last season.

Freshman quarterback Micah Alejado returns to play for the first time since he ended last season throwing for 469 yards and five touchdowns in his only start -- a win over New Mexico.

Second-year defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman has seven returing starters to work with.

Hawaii hasn't defeated a power conference opponent since back-to-back wins over Oregon State and Arizona in 2019.
