The Chicago Bears are looking to get back to winning football under new head coach Ben Johnson and young quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams showed flashes in his rookie season, but Johnson and the Bears know that they'll have to put a roster around him that will allow him to experience growing pains while he develops if they want to make the playoffs.
According to one prominent NFL insider, the Bears have gotten started on doing just that.
"Trade: Rams are in the process of sending veteran offensive lineman Jonah Jackson to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick, per ESPN's (Courtney Cronin). The trade cannot be processed until March 12," reported ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"Name a better combo than Terrible o lineman and the bears," one fan wrote on Twitter.
"It's really discouraging as a Seahawks fan seeing veteran O-linemen getting traded for such minimal draft capital and the Seahawks not being active on this," one Seattle Seahawks fan added.
"For a 6th I'm cool with it. I guess this is what they meant by competition for LT. As a depth piece it's not bad. Jus (has) to get back to his old self," another fan added.
It'll be interesting to see how the trade pans out for both sides.
