Firehouse Subs has recently closed one of its Richmond-area locations (11553 Busy St., North Chesterfield).
The multinational fast casual chain, founded in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida, has a number of Richmond-area locations. The chain was founded by brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen, who were firefighters.
Basic submarine sandwiches include steak and cheese with a variety of toppings, and hoagies of all kinds. In 2021, the chain was sold to Restaurant Brands International, the owner of Burger King and Popeyes, $1 billion.
