STEVENS POINT, WI - The City of Stevens Point is inviting proposals for the redevelopment of the former Edgewater Manor site in the downtown district.

The Common Council authorized this initiative on August 18, and the request for proposals will remain open until a successful proposal and negotiation are finalized.

In May 2024, the City approved a master plan to revitalize several downtown sites, including Edgewater Manor. This redevelopment could introduce new apartments, condominiums, or businesses, enhancing the area's appeal.

"The Edgewater site is a beautiful one: adjacent to the Green Circle Trail and Wisconsin River, development of this site has the potential to bring more residents and employees to waterfront views," said Mayor Wiza.

The redevelopment is part of the Downtown Targeted Area Master Plan.
