Novak Djokovic was once involved in a violent confrontation at the US Open after sparking fury with his post-match comments. The veteran Serb has won four titles at Flushing Meadows, most recently in 2023. He secured his first triumph in 2011 before repeating the feat in 2015 and 2018.

It took a while for Djokovic to prevail at the US Open, given that he made his debut at the tournament in 2006. Two years later, he made it to the semi-finals where he was beaten by eventual champion Roger Federer. However, it was his quarter-final match against Andy Roddick which was the main talking point.
