Driving down Timberland Drive in Lufkin, we are starting to see a coffee war unfold. We now have Dunkin' and a new Starbucks, as well as most of the other fast food places and breakfast stops like Shipley's, all of which serve coffee.

Now, a new player is percolating a drive-thru in the area. According to The Lufkin Daily News, 7 Brew Coffee will start construction on its new drive-thru-only location next month. It is slated to open sometime in December.

The new 7 Brew Coffee will be located at 202 S.Timberland Drive. That location will put them within earshot of the new Starbucks.

7 Brew Coffee has a lot more than coffee; like Starbucks, they have all kinds of flavored water. They have energy drinks, flavored sparkling water, smoothies, shakes, tea, and lemonade too.

In Deep East Texas, it's usually way too hot for coffee, so these additional drink types keep things interesting, even in the middle of summer. 7 Brew Coffee is all about the speed of service and drink quality.

The new location will be built on a $500,000 budget, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. There were rumors that the coffee shop chain was coming to the old Red Lobster building in 2024, but that never happened.
