Marion Dolores Sargent, age 82, passed away on Nov. 6, 2024, at Monadnock Community Hospital with family at her side.
She was born on June 1, 1942, in Leominster, Mass., to Joseph Henry and Lillian (Guinard) Senecal.
Marion married Ronald E. Sargent Jr. on Feb. 25, 1967.
Marion's greatest joy was being a wife, mother and Meme. She and Ron enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and line dancing. She took great pride in watching her daughter, Kim, and grandchildren, Samantha and Frankie, grow and supported their games and activities. She had many dogs as pets, and loved her special girl, Bitsy. She loved hosting get-togethers at their house and playing games with friends.
Marion had many hobbies and passions in life. Her love of books and reading led her to a career as a library assistant at the Gay-Kimball Library in Troy. She received her Certificate of Library Sciences and enjoyed being the children's librarian. Inheriting her green thumb from her father, she loved to grow vegetables and decorate her yard with flowers. Marion loved to camp, whether it be "Beach Week," travels around New England with family and friends or holiday weekends at her sister's house.
She is predeceased by her parents, her siblings Shirley, Judy and Donnie, her niece, Sharon, and her nephew-in-law, Donald.
She leaves behind her husband, Ron, of Fitzwilliam; her daughter, Kim (Frank) Tomer; and her grandchildren, Samantha and Frankie of Swanzey. She is also survived by her sisters, Sheila (Sonny) DeVarney, and Cindy (Bill) Ninomiya, of Leominster, Mass.; her brothers-in-law, Dan (Debbie) and Jeff (Sally) Sargent; and her sisters-in-law, Tracy (Rick) Ferreira and Cindy (Tim) Rader. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, Bobby, Dan, Steve, Mike, Laurie, Derek, Jackie, Scott, Dawn and Brittany. She also leaves behind several great-nieces and nephews.
