LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced Sunday afternoon that the death toll from Friday's round of severe weather had risen to 19.

Of those 19, 17 are said to be from Laurel County, 1 from Pulaski County, and the latest one from Russell County.

The National Weather Service has preliminarily confirmed an EF-2 tornado on the border of Pulaski and Russell counties. NWS crews are headed to Laurel County Sunday to survey the area.
