Deep-tech Startup VyomIC Raises $1.6 Mn In Pre-Seed Funding Led by Speciale Invest - BW Disrupt

Chennai-based deep-tech startup VyomIC has secured Rs 14 crore (approximately USD 1.6 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by Speciale Invest, with participation from BYT Capital and DeVC.

The fresh capital will be deployed to advance the development of VyomIC's Low Earth Orbit (LEO)-based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) payload, support its spaceborne demonstration mission, and accelerate team expansion and business development initiatives.

Co-founded by Lokesh Kabdal, Vibhor Jain, and Anurag Patil, VyomIC is building satellite constellations to provide highly accurate, secure, and sovereign PNT services from LEO. The company aims to enable the next generation of autonomous systems, secure infrastructure, and mission-critical operations with centimeter-level positioning and nanosecond-level timing -- without depending on foreign navigation networks such as GPS or GLONASS.

VyomIC's LEO-PNT system integrates onboard atomic clocks, encrypted signal layers, and AI-powered orbit determination algorithms to deliver real-time, high-integrity navigation, particularly in urban, contested, or GNSS-denied environments. Its architecture is designed to be resistant to jamming and spoofing, making it suitable for defence, finance, aerospace, telecom, and other critical sectors.

By leveraging LEO satellites, the system promises higher precision, faster convergence, stronger signal strength, and better coverage in urban and signal-challenged areas. VyomIC plans to eventually deploy a full constellation to offer secure, real-time navigation and timing services to users worldwide.
