Philadelphia 76ers rookie VJ Edgecombe is looking to continue prepping for his rookie season in 2025-26. The No. 3 overall pick in the draft showed off a lot of his skill in the two summer league games he was able to play, but now is the time for continued growth in an effort to be 100% ready.
Edgecombe is back in the gym with trainer TJ Bannister in an effort to take more steps in his game. He was working on taking shots off the dribble and being able to get into the paint and make adjustments. When he reaches the NBA level, he isn't going to be able to just bulldoze his way to the basket as he did in college. This will be stronger comeptition and Edgecombe has to be able to take and make a pull-up jumper in those situations.
As Edgecombe continues to take those next steps forward, the Sixers will be looking for him to play a big role in the upcoming 2025-26 season.
