A WOMAN allegedly attacked three people outside a bar and tore out a victim's hair in the assault that left her with three broken ribs.

Cops have released CCTV images of a woman they believe can help provide information following the incident.

They wish to speak to her about the reported assault that occurred in Liverpool City Centre on Sunday, September 7 around 1.30am.

One female victim suffered bruised and possible fractured ribs, whilst a large portion of her hair was torn out.

Two other people were also reportedly assaulted in the early hours of that Sunday morning.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested from Kirkby on suspicion of assault, and was conditionally.

Merseyside Police's Detective Sergeant Lee Hearne said: "This was a serious and unprovoked attack on a young woman who was out with her friends in our city centre.

"Everyone should be able go out and feel safe in their own community without the fear of being attacked and we are working to find those responsible.

"I am appealing to find the woman shown in this CCTV footage, or anyone who recognises her to come forward as we believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.

"Similarly, if you were at Baa Barr at around 1.30am in the early hours of Sunday morning and saw the assault or those involved in this incident please contact police as soon as possible.

"While several weeks have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our enquiries."
