"Uzbekneftegaz" Boosts Gasoline Supplies to Ferghana Valley Amid Temporary Gas Supply Restrictions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz has increased gasoline deliveries to the Ferghana Valley regions in response to temporary gas supply limitations, the company's press service reported.

Following a decision issued on the Ministry of Energy's instructions, an additional 2,000 tons of fuel were offered on the exchange on 5 September for Andijan, Namangan, and Ferghana regions. Normally, the region receives 250-300 tons, meaning sales volumes have increased more than sevenfold.

Additionally, oil depots have shifted to 24-hour operations. Uzbekneftegaz assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure uninterrupted supply to gas stations across the three regions.

The Ministry of Energy announced on 4 September that the Akhangaran-Pungan gas pipeline would be shut down for 36 hours starting at noon on 5 September to connect a new branch built in the mountains as part of a state program. During this period, large consumers, including gas stations, will have limited gas supply in coordination with local authorities.

The ministry emphasized that the increased gasoline deliveries are intended to compensate for temporary gas supply disruptions.
