The 22nd International Konya Mystical Music Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as part of the Turkey Cultural Route Festivals, is preparing to open its doors with great excitement. Taking place from September 20-30, the festival aims to be a celebration of peace and brotherhood, bringing together not only music but also diverse beliefs, cultures, and geographies.
The festival's introductory meeting was held at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality's Taş Bina Culture and Arts Center. Speaking at the meeting, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Uzbaş stated that Konya has been the heart of civilization for centuries and that this festival is a modern reflection of the city's historical and spiritual heritage. Uzbaş invited all art lovers and fellow citizens to this cultural gathering.
Konya Governor İbrahim Akın stated that the festival, through the universal language of music, keeps cultural heritage alive and spreads messages of peace and tolerance throughout the world. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan emphasized that the Turkish Cultural Route Festivals have become a global brand. Alpaslan noted that Konya has been a center that has united hearts for centuries, inspired by Rumi's call to "Come, whoever you are," and that the festival will transform Konya into a cultural oasis.
Deputy Minister Alpaslan announced that the 10-day festival will spread throughout the city, from Mevlana Square to the Selçuklu Congress Center. With the participation of 414 artists In addition to the 20 major concerts to be held, the city will be saturated with art with music workshops and exhibitions.
The festival, which reinforces Türkiye's cultural leadership through the universal language of mystical music, also serves as a call to action for young people. It is believed that young people who believe in the unifying power of art and value intercultural dialogue will be inspired by this festival to explore new artistic horizons.
