Jessica Simpson's three children - daughter Maxwell, 13; son Ace, 12; and daughter Birdie, 6 - still haven't seen her sing onstage, but that might finally change next month.
'They've never seen me perform. I really wanted to be a mom. I wanted to focus on the Jessica Simpson collection and that really was connected to my lifestyle,' the 45-year-old former pop star explained on Jennifer Hudson Show Thursday.
'The kids are very proud of me. They've supported me since I started going out to Nashville. They knew I was following my dreams and they saw how happy like it made me and how much peace it gave me.'
Jessica is next scheduled to perform at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada on November 8.
'I'm very excited about that one, so maybe my kids can come to that one,' Simpson said.
'I love being a mother. They teach me more than I teach them.'

The Hopeless Romance belter boasted that her two eldest children have 'perfect pitch' and can peform riffs that even she can't, but it's her youngest child that caught the showbiz bug.
'My youngest can belt her brains out,' Jessica marveled.
'Like, she has got the power and I don't know Megadeth or, like, full on gospel, but she's got the lungs.'

Simpson also teased an upcoming duet with her younger sister Ashlee Simpson Ross-Næss who, like her, has staged a musical comeback this year.
'Yes, of course. Ash and I were just talking on the phone two days ago about wanting to do something and wanting our kids to be involved as well cuz all of our kids are great. Like they're all musically [inclined],' the blonde Texan said.
'For Ashlee to come back to music at the same time I have been coming back to music. We literally were about to go on the stage the other night at the same time and we were talking to each other like, "Have a good show. Have a good show. I can't believe we get this moment
again." Like, we just both feel very blessed.'
Jessica legally separated from her second husband Eric Johnson in January after a decade of marriage, and she also put her $11.5M seven-bedroom Hidden Hills marital mansion on the real estate market for $17.9M.
The 46-year-old retired NFL tight end was still technically married to former pole-dancing instructor Keri D'Angelo when he originally met Simpson through a mutual friend at her May 2010 house party, and he finalized his divorce just five months later.
The Fade singer has been hard at work promoting her album Nashville Canyon: Pt 2, which dropped last month.
