Manama, Oct. 5 (BNA): Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with participants of the 35th batch of the "Qeyadat" (Leaderships) programme, organised by the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) as part of the national programme for developing government leaders.
Minister Fakhro said that investing in the development of national leaders is essential for enhancing the Kingdom of Bahrain's competitiveness and driving sustainable progress across all sectors.
He explained that government leaders possess the knowledge and expertise needed to make strategic decisions and create effective solutions that enhance competitiveness at both regional and international levels.
The Industry Minister highlighted that the programme plays an exceptional role in the learning and development journey of national talent, preparing leaders capable of driving change, shaping policy, and promoting institutional integration. He noted that this boosts the efficiency of public sector institutions and supports growth across all sectors, including industry and trade.
He also commended the efforts of IPA in this field, emphasising that the Institute's work reflects Bahrain's commitment to building strategic national cadres capable of advancing institutional performance and achieving the country's national goals.
On her part, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of IPA, said that enhancing the capabilities and skills of national leaders is key to advancing the country's institutional performance system.
Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa highlighted that the Qeyadat programme aims to develop strategic leaders who can create policies and design strategies using the latest administrative methods, thereby improving the Kingdom's administrative development.
She added that IPA will continue working to create a common platform for government leaders to shape future plans and administrative policies, helping simplify procedures, launch joint initiatives, and improve the quality of government services and projects in line with citizens' aspirations.
