Popeyes has confirmed the opening date for its first restaurant in Lincolnshire. The popular fast food chain announced it would be bringing its Louisiana fried chicken to the county for the first time with a new location opening later this year on Lincoln's High Street.
The new restaurant will mark Popeyes' 109th site in the UK, following its success at existing restaurants across the East Midlands, such as in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. Popeyes UK has now announced that the new Lincoln location will be opening its doors on Thursday, December 4.
Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK chief exec, said: "We've had a fantastic response to our restaurant openings across the East Midlands and can't wait to bring Popeyes to Lincolnshire for the first time. The opening on Lincoln's popular high street marks another important step in our growth, and we're looking forward to sharing more details very soon."
It is expected that customers will queue out the door on opening day to be one of the first to try the Popeyes chicken sandwich. Each piece of Popeyes chicken is marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of Louisiana herbs and spices, then hand-breaded and battered.
