Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen received praise and backing from supporters following a frank social media post about her life.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess, aged 51, took to Instagram with a heartfelt video discussing her life experiences, being a role model to her nine youngsters, and emphasising that "you can't please everybody".
In the honest footage, Amanda remarked whilst operating farm equipment: "Good morning people, well it's not a very pleasant day weather wise on the farm. It's wet and it's raining. It's horrible!
"This is my place, this is what I love doing. It's really difficult to actually keep things going... working a farm in the way that we do, which I always think and I still believe is the way that people want to see their food being produced.
"Anyway, I'm not getting all political because this is about something else...", reports the Manchester Evening News.
"This is about the fact that I am now 51! My feelings are at the moment that you just can't please everybody. No matter what you do!
"So yesterday, I was filming and a gorgeous lady called Rosie did my make-up. She put the eyelashes on and everything... you know what? It's still there today!
"People are like: 'Oh my God, she's got painted nails, she's got make-up on!' Who cares? That does not qualify or disqualify me from doing the job! And do you know what? Why am I doing it? To keep everything going!
"And yes, to be a role model for my children! What's a role model? A role model is someone who is confident, has ambition, and works hard. I am proud of what I do!"
She captioned the video with: "There's a lot of F's going on, I'm feeling feisty. Loving family, farming, filming and fashion in my fifty's. #yorkshire #positive #farm #family #shepherdess #strong."
Responding in the comments, Amanda's 543K followers were quick to share their thoughts.

Amanda and former husband Clive share nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy.
The family's cherished documentary programme, Our Yorkshire Farm, came to an end in 2022 following Amanda and Clive's split. It originally premiered in 2018.
