According to diplomatic sources on Friday, the U.S. resolution supporting President Donald Trump's peace initiative in Gaza is scheduled for a vote by the UN Security Council on Monday.

The Council has been urged to "swiftly" adopt the resolution by the United States and a number of its regional allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.

The United States, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey issued a joint statement expressing their support for the proposal, highlighting its authorization of the establishment of an international stabilization force and stressing the need for its swift adoption.
