Julian Casablancas + The Voidz recently shared a new song, "Blue Demon," from an upcoming EP set to drop this spring.
The track was teased with a pair of Instagram posts using AI-generated video. In a video, an AI-looking Voidz spokesperson announces that the band released the new single "after receiving an ultimatum from Tron Cole, their former social media manager turned arch nemesis."
The band writes, "After much discussion and a bit of krokodil tomvapery, we consulted with the Ancient Law Gremlins (of the forest). It would appear we are left but with little choice than to release the Blue Demon into this Gigasphere of Pain."
"We fight each other like two brothers/ Father forgive me, intifada/ Too many babies dead like their mothers," go the lyrics in the new song.
"Blue Demon" is Julian Casablancas + The Voidz's first new music since dropping their most recent album Like All Before You last fall.
