Longtime Hofstra men's soccer head coach Richard Nuttall announced on Monday that this upcoming season will be his last.
Nuttall will transition to a new role as assistant director of athletics for development and alumni affairs/head men's soccer coach emeritus. Associate head coach Stephen Roche, who was named head coach in waiting last season, will take over the program after the season.
Hofstra will honor Nuttall during the Alumni Day Game against Northeastern at Captains Field on Oct. 4. Nuttall enters his final season with a 350-259-87 record and four straight CAA championships, the first team in CAA history to claim four men's soccer titles in a row. Nuttall, the winningest coach in program history, has guided Hofstra to eight NCAA tournaments.
