Sophie Hough, of Hawkstone Road, Handforth, Wilmslow, pleaded guilty to exceeding the 50mph speed limit at Crewe Magistrates' Court on September 18.

The 41-year-old was caught speeding at 59mph on manned equipment whilst driving an Audi on Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road in Poynton towards Hazel Grove on February 20, this year.

Hough was fined £72 and ordered to pay £28 victim surcharge.

No order was made for costs.

Her driving licence was endorsed with three points.

Magistrates took her guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
