Should I Bench Jaylen Waddle for Week 14 in Fantasy Football?

For fantasy managers, Waddle's season has been a massive letdown. With just 45 receptions for 601 yards and two touchdowns on the year, Waddle has been far from the wide receiver that many envisioned on draft day. His lack of production is especially glaring when compared to his previous seasons where he went over 1,000 yards receiving in all three of them before 2024.

The emergence of tight end Jonnu Smith and running back De'Von Achane in the passing game have contributed to Waddle's decline. The team has gone away from trying to take so many vertical shots downfield for Waddle and Hill, and it has helped to open up more stuff underneath.

Despite the disappointment, it's important to remember that Waddle remains a young, dynamic playmaker with the ability to change a game in an instant.

Looking ahead to Week 14, Waddle will need the Dolphins offense to find some much-needed consistency to reignite his fantasy value. The game is in Miami and weather shouldn't be an issue, which is important this late in the season.

Waddle has finished with less than 60 yards receiving and has been held out of the end zone in three out of the Dolphins last four games. But given all of the other teams on a bye this week, you might not be afforded the luxury of sitting him. That's just how it goes.
