The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is securing its systems and services against fraud.
Identity checks will be tightened to ensure NDIS recipients and their nominated representatives are the only ones who can access NDIS funds, account information and plan details.
"We'll be checking that your account information is up to date and matches the information you use to access other government services, such as myGov," the NDIS said.

"You should complete these actions as soon as possible to keep your account secure."
Recipients who secure their account will have more self-service options in coming months, it said.
Pop-up messages, on the NDIS app and online portal, are part of that plan.
The pop-ups will prompt recipients and representatives to check or update their details, and request that their accounts be linked to other government services using myGov.
"These pop-up messages are part of our ongoing work to keep your personal information and NDIS account safe and protected from fraud," the NDIS said.
Even if a pop-up message does not appear, the NDIS said that recipients can strengthen account security by setting up a myID with "standard or strong security strength".
They can also link their myGov account with another service such as Centrelink, Medicare or the Australian Taxation Office.
The identity checks can be organised when recipients email and call the NDIS, and anyone with concerns has also been urged to call the NDIS National Contact Centre on 1800 800 110.
