Nag Ashwin confirmed that the script for the sequel is locked, and the team is ready to move forward as soon as Prabhas gives his nod. Planned as a massive cinematic spectacle, the sequel is tentatively slated for a 2026 release, fueling excitement among audiences and the film industry alike.

It is a new chapter that promises to tread more unknown paths-since it probably deals more profoundly with the myth and some ancient scriptures. Sources say that the sequel may be called Karna 3102 BC as it is dealing with a popular legend, Karna, whose story was set in the finale of Kalki 2898 AD. The story is expected to weave science fiction with Karna's tale, giving a new idea of futuristic and puranic storytelling.

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan will play an even more important role in the sequel, and the production will start with his scenes. Deepika Padukone will also be seen in a significant role, playing a mother in important sequences.
