SALT LAKE CITY -- A heavy police presence is at a University of Utah dormitory in Kahlert Village Wednesday evening. The cause for the police presence is not confirmed at this time.

Police were responding to a report of a possible stabbing in the area; the circumstances regarding this initial response are not confirmed at this time.

It is not known whether anyone was taken into custody or whether anyone was injured.
